Jate Mior/Kay Paude
Following the failure of my work with The Sanctuary newspaper i had to search out alternative routes to satisfy my typographic, layout and publishing needs. While developing my practical skills and building up industry knowledge for work experience i wished to created printed books for people. These people were Kate Prior and Jay Maude. They requested photo books which left the developing of text layout to be done as a self directed project with the goal of having skills and work for work experience application.
Heres some work i’ve done on Jay’s book:
I decided to start simply and basically do full page spreads without borders. Leaving as much of the original image as possible and leaving a blank space at the bottom of each page.
I think the book as a whole could do with a bit more variation. Not having any text to work with has been a challenge.

As well as working with similiar pages as i did with Jay’s book i also worked using the basic guide to fit related image onto the same page. I like the look but think it would look better with text.
