Summary - Typography/InDesign development
With the view to improve my practical skills within print, publishing and book design i aimed to work on briefs such as newspapers magazines and books. I understood that my technical capability was pretty low in respect to graphic design and typography and wished to improve this. I began by mainly working from examples of publication i liked. This proved not to be a very good approach. Taking books out and producing more in InDesign was much more effective. Getting a beter idea of the basic principles and uses of typography. General experimentation is useful using existing magazines as examples. Need to work with more text.
